TRCA Operations Saves The Day

During record Ice Storms in Texas….

As you know we almost lost the switch due to failed rectifiers that forced us to run in the simplex mode to reduce the current draw on the DC plant. This phone system has never gone anywhere near a total outage since it’s installation about fourteen years ago. Because of the age of the parts last manufacture date and all that, it took the delivery of eleven rectifiers over four days to obtain three useable replacements. I am aware that during this time period your area had an epic snow storm not seen in thirty years. The fact that these two events happened at the same time was my worst nightmare. I did not think TRCA was going to be able to deliver so many rectifiers day after day as we worked through this major switchroom failure. Denise Runnels saved the day, day after day, throughout our repair efforts on this matter. Under terrible circumstances she delivered what we needed quickly. She stayed in contact with us throughout the outage regardless of time of day or amount of snow. Please thank her for the professional behavior displayed during our crisis.
